Creating Memories for the Family

Officially, the Christmas season has started. The Friday after Thanksgiving we went to get our Christmas Trees. Yes trees, we get two. One for upstairs and one for downstairs. The upstairs tree this year is a 12 1/2 foot Frasier Fir and the family room tree is a 7 foot Frasier Fir. The house smells wonderful. I LOVE it!

When our kids were little, going to pick a tree was an event. We would bundle up in our coats, hats, gloves and boots. When we came home the fun did stop, we would a have a Christmas Tree party. Eggnog, sweets and pizza was always on the menu. Of course, Christmas music or a movie was playing.

All of us remember those days and share the fun about them. Our kids are all grown, but we still make a day of it.

Whether it be a tree decorating party, cookie baking day, a special shopping trip or a seasonal musical, make the time to create memories with your family over the Christmas season.

The list doesn't end there. It is never too late to start a tradition, and I'd love to hear what's on your list of memories you enjoy having with your family. Don't forget to include Jesus in your season. He is the reason for the season.
