Fun and Easy Easter decor!

Happy Spring! I love spring! A time where everything comes out of it's winter slumber and back to life. Today I am sharing very easy, fun Easter decor! Simple ways to boost those little plastic colored Easter eggs. For these projects, you will need plastic Easter eggs, hot glue gun, modge podge, jute twine ,cloth material and chosen paper selection. I used a tissue paper with a faded newspaper print for my paper selection. Napkins with a cool print would work as well.

First I painted the eggs with 2 coats of a light colored craft paint. Once dry, you can start to apply your chosen decor options. For the jute egg, you apply a small dab of hot glue and just start at the bottom of the egg and start wrapping the egg with the jute. Adding a dab of hot glue here and there as you wrap the egg will help hold the jute in place. I used a natural colored jute. You could use any color jute as there are so many options for the jute color. Keep wrapping the egg until completely covered. I love the look of these.

Cloth material covered eggs requires strips of your choice of material ripped or cut depending on your style decor. The cut look will give you a more traditional look as the ripped will give you a more country look. The cloth needs ripped or cut in narrow strips. As with jute, you will need to apply a small amount of hot glue to the bottom of the egg and start wrapping the egg. Again adding hot glue while wrapping to keep the cloth in place. Pull the cloth as tight as possible to help the material hug the egg tightly. If you get a few edges of material not real tight, just apply a very small amount of hot glue and press with the end your glue gun onto the egg surface. Continuing wrapping the egg until completely covered. This is a great option. You can use any material, any color to match your style!

Lastly, our modge podge paper covered egg. Take the paper selection you have chosen and rip the paper into pieces. Smaller pieces are better than large pieces. Apply modge podge to a small section of the plastic egg and then apply a piece of the torn paper. Keep applying the modge podge and applying the paper until the eggs is completed covered. You can overlap the paper for more depth on the egg. I would recommend overlapping to get good coverage. This can become a sticky job. Once the egg is covered let dry. After it is dry, I apply another coat of modge podge to help protect the paper material. Another great way to personalize your eggs to match your home decor.

Three easy ways to change those little, although cute, plastic Easter Eggs! Hope you have an amazing Easter! Remember it is not about the bunny, but about our Risen Savior!

He Has Risen!
