Overcoming Fear!

Have you ever been afraid? What a question! Boy, I could say about a million times YES! I admit I have had fears. As a Christian, fear should not be an issue. As a human, (Not an excuse) it is. I have had big fears and small fears. How do I size fear? For me, small fears are such as; is this going to work out, can this item be fixed, losing something of importance etc... I then go into anxiety mode. Big fears for me are financial burdens, my cancer diagnosis, children's illnesses, job situations etc... I go into my anxiety mode. The enemy can take these situations and others and intensify them. Life can be scary! Life has crazy times, but God is bigger than any situation in our life, big or small.

This is a scripture my husband shared with me when I was diagnosed with cancer. He placed this on my bathroom mirror and to be honest it is still there. I love it. A great reminder!

Our Biblical heros also had fears. Joseph was fearful about taking Mary as his wife. God sent an angel to reassure Joseph. The disciples were fearful when they saw Jesus walking on the water . He reassured them to not be afraid. These are just a couple of examples!

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, of love and of a sound mind.

Matthew 10: 31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Two awesome verses to remind us that God has got us.

Does everything work out the way we want? NOPE, not always. Does everything just disappear? NOPE, not usually. God can get us through the fears in His own way and time.

He's got our fears! He loves us! He can handle it! Such good reminders for me!

Today, if something has got you worried, fearful! Give it to God. Remember, God has got this and He will give you peace!

Talk soon,

Angie
